Blackhawks’ Crawford out 2-to-3 weeks

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford
is expected to miss the next 2-to-3 weeks after injuring his left foot while
attending a concert.

Crawford told reporters Wednesday that he took an awkward step while exiting
the show. The 2013 Stanley Cup champion backstop was spotted wearing a walking
boot during the interview.

Antti Raanta, who has made just three starts so far this season, will take
over as the Blackhawks’ No. 1 goaltender in Crawford’s absence. Chicago
recalled Scott Darling from Rockford of the American Hockey League Tuesday to
serve as the backup.

Crawford currently ranks third in the NHL with a 1.87 goals-against average
and has compiled a 12-5-1 record with a .929 save percentage over 18 starts
this season.

Raanta is 1-2-0 with a 2.03 GAA in his limited action.
