Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) – Vladislav Namestnikov registered a pair of
goals and one assist, as the Tampa Bay Lightning clinched a playoff berth and
set a new single-season record for wins in a season thanks to a 5-3 decision
over Montreal in a crucial inter-divisional battle from Bell Centre.
Nikita Kucherov, Jonathan Drouin and Anton Stralman added scores for the
Lightning, whose 47 wins surpassed the old mark of 46 set three times
previously.
Ben Bishop stopped 25 shots and added a pair of assists to snag the win.
Max Pacioretty, Jeff Petry and P.K. Subban lit the lamp for the Canadiens, who
dropped all five games in the season series to their Atlantic Division foes.
Carey Price took the loss despite making 39 saves.
