Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Nick Bonino scored the lone goal of the
shootout to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks
on Sunday.
Bonino, who was acquired from the Ducks in the offseason for Ryan Kesler, beat
Frederik Andersen with a wrister. Kesler, the third and final shooter for
Anaheim, rang a shot off the post to seal the outcome.
Alexandre Burrows scored a goal in regulation, while Eddie Lack made 28 saves
and stopped all three Ducks in the shootout for Vancouver, which has won three
of its last four games.
Andersen made 34 stops and Sami Vatanen netted the lone goal in Anaheim’s
third straight defeat.
