added an empty-net goal while short-handed to help the New Jersey Devils earn
a 4-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night at Prudential Center.
Adam Larsson had three assists for New Jersey, and Cory Schneider made 21
saves to register his career-high 21st win of the season.
Patrik Elias and Jordin Tootoo also scored for the Devils, who have opened a
six-game homestand with back-to-back victories. They ended a four-game skid
Tuesday by edging the Buffalo Sabres in a shootout.
Zack Kassian notched his first career two-goal game for Vancouver, which got
23 saves from Eddie Lack.
The Canucks topped the New York Rangers in a shootout on Thursday to begin a
five-game road trip.
