Fleury posts eighth shutout as Pens down Flames

Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 21 shots for his
eighth shutout of the season to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 4-0 win over
the Calgary Flames.

Fleury set a franchise record, as he surpassed Tom Barrasso’s shutout mark
that was set in the 1997-98 season.

Sidney Crosby had two goals and an assist, while David Perron added a goal and
an assist and Brandon Sutter also scored for the Penguins, who have won three
of their last four. Chris Kunitz had three assists in the win.

Jonas Hiller allowed all four goals on 24 shots for the Flames, who had a
three-game winning streak stopped. Karri Ramo stopped six shots after coming
into the game a little over five minutes into the third period.

It took just 5:46 for the Pens to grab the lead when Crosby sent a short pass
from the slot to the low right side and Perron finished it off with his 13th
goal of the season.

Pittsburgh went ahead 2-0 at 18:10 of the first after Simon Despres sent a
hard pass from the high slot to the low left side where Sutter redirected it
into the net.

The Pens made it a 3-0 game at 11:58 of the second as Kunitz skated the puck
in down the left wing and chipped the pass down low where Crosby tipped it in.

Crosby scored his second of the game on a short break when he skated down the
middle and buried the puck for his 17th of the season at 5:19 of the third.
