Flyers G Mason leaves game against Caps

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve
Mason left Sunday’s game against the Washington Capitals with an undisclosed
injury.

Mason was near the Flyers bench during a break with around 8 1/2 minutes left
in the second period, and eventually came off the ice and had to be helped
into the locker room by trainers.

Ray Emery replaced Mason, who had made eight saves up to that point.

Mason was sidelined two weeks in January with a lower-body injury. He entered
Sunday’s game with an 11-12-7 record and a 2.30 goals-against average this
season.
