Flyers recall Stolarz after Mason injury

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Philadelphia Flyers recalled
goaltender Anthony Stolarz from the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Monday.

The move came a day after starting goaltender Steve Mason left Sunday’s 3-1
win over Washington with a lower-body injury, the same injury that forced him
to miss two weeks last month.

Ray Emery replaced Mason in net.

Stolarz was called up to the NHL for the first time and will join the Flyers
in Montreal in time to be available for their game Tuesday against Montreal.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound goaltender was a second-round draft pick by the Flyers
in 2012 and has appeared in 22 games for the Phantoms this season, earning a
record of 7-10-1-1 with a 3.04 goals against average, .911 save percentage and
two shutouts.
