Hanzal, Dubnyk guide Coyotes past Canucks

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) – Martin Hanzal notched a hat trick and
Devan Dubnyk posted a 35-save shutout to lead the Arizona Coyotes in a 5-0 win
over the Vancouver Canucks on Friday.

Keith Yandle had a goal and two assists while Shane Doan also lit the lamp for
the Coyotes, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Ryan Miller allowed all five goals on 23 shots for the Canucks, who had won
four of five coming in.

Hanzal scored his first goal at 14:56 of the first period as Yandle brought
the puck down the right wing and passed it over to the left circle, where
Hanzal wristed it home.

A pair of goals separated by nine seconds in the second period gave Hanzal his
hat trick.

The first goal came at 15:25 as Tobias Rieder sent a shot on net that Hanzal
redirected in with his stick. The goal was reviewed to see if Hanzal tipped it
with a high stick, but it was ruled a good goal.

Off the faceoff, Martin Erat chipped the puck down the right wing for Hanzal,
who wristed it in for his second career hat trick and fifth goal of the
season.

Doan made it a 4-0 game with just 2.7 seconds to play in the second as Sam
Gagner sent a pass from the right corner to the slot where Doan one-timed it
home for his sixth of the year.

Yandle’s goal came on the power play with 2:23 to play as his shot from the
left point beat Miller.
