Hiller, Flames shut out winless Hurricanes

Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – Jonas Hiller turned aside all 16 shots fired
his way and Sean Monahan scored twice as the Calgary Flames shut out the
Carolina Hurricanes, 5-0, on Thursday.

Hiller was backed with plenty offensive support in his 22nd career shutout as
Dennis Wideman, Matt Stajan and Lance Bouma all scored for Calgary, which
bounced back from a 2-1 overtime loss on Tuesday to win its first home game of
the season.

Cam Ward allowed all five goals on 24 shots as Carolina fell to 0-4-2 on the
season.
