Hossa scores twice in 3rd, Blackhawks down Blues

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – Marian Hossa scored two goals in the third
period to lift the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues on
Sunday at Scottrade Center.

Hossa broke a tie game on a power play with 8:41 remaining and added an empty-
netter with 13.5 seconds left.

Marcus Kruger and Bryan Bickell had the other goals for the Blackhawks, who
have won two straight following back-to-back shutout losses.

Corey Crawford made 25 saves, including a critical stop on Alexander Steen’s
bid from the slot with 2:37 remaining in the game.

Vladimir Tarasenko and David Backes scored second-period goals for St. Louis,
which was coming off Friday’s 7-1 loss at Columbus that ended its impressive
12-0-1 stretch.

Brian Elliott allowed three goals on 27 shots.
