Melville, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – New York Islanders forward Mikhail
Grabovski won’t travel with his club to Pittsburgh for a Saturday night
contest, and is out indefinitely.
Newsday reported that Grabovski passed concussion tests on Thursday night
after absorbing a clean, hard, open-ice hit from San Jose’s John Scott, but
awoke on Friday with concussion-like symptoms.
The paper also revealed that the 30-year-old center would not be evaluated
further until next week.
Grabovski contributed two goals and one assist to the Isles’ 4-0-0 start to
the season, after the club inked him to a four-year contract at the outset of
free agency in July.
