Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – Columbus Blue Jackets center Artem Anisimov
is expected to miss the next 2-to-3 months because of a torn triceps.
Anisimov was hurt during this past Saturday’s game against Nashville and was
placed on injured reserve Monday.
The 26-year-old Russian native has just two goals and four assists for six
points in 16 games this season, his third with Columbus. He also missed seven
games earlier this season because of an upper body injury.
Anisimov was coming off a strong 2013-14 season, having scored a career-best
22 goals with 17 assists in 81 games to help the Blue Jackets to the playoffs.
In 376 games with the Jackets and New York Rangers, Anisimov has 81 goals and
90 assists for 171 points. He was part of the package the Jackets acquired in
the July 2012 trade that sent Rick Nash to the Rangers.
