Jets’ Trouba sidelined until February

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) – Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba is
expected to be sidelined until February because of an upper body injury.

Jets coach Paul Maurice made the announcement Tuesday, saying the injury is
not related to the neck problem he suffered last year. Trouba was taken off
the ice on a stretcher last October in a game against St. Louis when he missed
a check and slammed face-first into the end boards.

Trouba is Winnipeg’s leading scorer among defensemen with 12 points in 31
games. He has four goals and eight assists this season after producing 10
goals with 19 assists in 65 games during his rookie campaign of 2013-14.
