Uniondale, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Andrew Ladd scored twice, including the
go-ahead goal early in the third period, and the Winnipeg Jets escaped with a
4-3 victory over the New York Islanders on Tuesday.
Paul Postma and Jacob Trouba also lit the lamp for the Jets, who have won two
in a row. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 18-of-21 shots.
Brock Nelson, John Tavares and Mikhail Grabovski scored for the Islanders, who
had a brief two-game winning streak snapped. Jaroslav Halak made 26 saves
after sitting out the previous two games in favor of Chad Johnson.
