Lightning snap Islanders’ streak at 5

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Ben Bishop made 25 saves and five Tampa Bay
Lightning players scored in a 5-2 win over the New York Islanders on Saturday.

The goals by Ryan Callahan, Valtteri Filppula, Cedric Paquette, Tyler Johnson
and Radko Gudas helped Tampa Bay snap New York’s five-game winning streak.

Callahan and Filppula each had an assist and Jason Garrison added two helpers
for the Lightning, who halted a two-game skid and improved to 7-1-1 in their
last nine.

They lead the NHL with 65 goals, including 39 in their last nine games.

Brock Nelson and Josh Bailey scored for the Islanders and Chad Johnson gave up
all five Tampa Bay goals on 28 shots.

New York was coming off 4-3 shootout win over Florida on Friday, during which
its shutout streak was snapped after 193 minutes and 48 seconds. Its last loss
prior to Saturday came Nov. 1 in San Jose.
