York Rangers took a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 1 of this
Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.
Derick Brassard and Ryan McDonagh had first-period goals for the Presidents’
Trophy-winning Rangers, who come into the playoffs looking to repeat as the
Eastern Conference champions.
Blake Comeau scored the only goal while Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 36 shots for
the Penguins, who qualified for the playoffs on the final day of the season
and are looking to avenge a semifinal loss last year to the Rangers.
