Lundqvist shuts the door, Rangers silence Sharks

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves to post his
first shutout of the young season, and New York ripped home three goals in
just over six minutes late in the second period to aid a 4-0 decision against
San Jose at Madison Square Garden.

Martin St. Louis and Rick Nash combined to tally four seconds apart late in
the stanza for the Rangers, who completed a four-game homestand with two
consecutive victories.

Carl Hagelin and Kevin Hayes also lit the lamp, with Dominic Moore adding a
pair of assists.

Alex Stalock allowed all four scores on 29 shots for the Sharks, who fell to
2-1-1 on a five-game road trip which will end in Boston on Tuesday.
