Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Brad Marchand fueled Boston’s 3-2 comeback
victory over the Buffalo Sabres with the game-tying goal late in the third
period and the overtime winner on Thursday.
Reilly Smith cycled below the goal line and sent the puck to Marchand, who was
all alone in the slot. Marchand, who was a game-time decision, one-timed the
puck over the glove of Jhonas Enroth for the win 1:20 into the extra session.
Adam McQuaid also scored and Niklas Svedberg made 13 saves for the Bruins, who
bounced back from a 4-3 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday.
Drew Stafford and Tyler Ennis both lit the lamp and Enroth stopped 34-of-37
shots for Buffalo, which has dropped six of its last seven games.
