Parenteau, Canadiens top Flames in shootout

Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau scored the lone
goal of the shootout to lift the Montreal Canadiens to a 2-1 victory on
Tuesday.

Parenteau, Montreal’s third shooter, skated in with his head up all the way
and beat Jonas Hiller stick side with a wrist shot for the win.

“We’re showing that we can come back and don’t get discouraged if we don’t get
the first goal,” said Parenteau.

Tom Gilbert scored in regulation and Carey Price was spectacular in net,
making 37 saves for Montreal, which ended a seven-game losing streak to the
Flames in Calgary.

Mark Giordano supplied Calgary’s lone goal and Hiller stopped 18-of-19 shots
in defeat.
