Preds score late, hand Jackets sixth straight loss

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) – Colin Wilson’s goal with 2:12 remaining
lifted the Nashville Predators to a 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets in
a matchup of teams going in opposite directions.

Mike Ribeiro also scored for Nashville and Pekka Rinne recorded 21 saves to
help the Preds run their winning streak to a season-high four games.

Columbus fell to 0-5-1 in its last six contests despite an outstanding effort
from goaltender Curtis McElhinney, who kept his team in it with a 40-save
performance.

Ryan Johansen potted the struggling Blue Jackets’ only goal on a power play
early in the third period to tie the game at 1-1.
