Red Wings’ Datsyuk set to return

Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) – Forward Pavel Datsyuk will return to the
Detroit Red Wings’ lineup for Friday’s game against the rival Chicago
Blackhawks after missing the previous two games with a groin injury.

Datsyuk’s status was determined after the morning skate. He suffered the groin
injury during last Friday’s morning skate and sat out games against the New
Jersey Devils and Tampa Bay Lightning.

After missing the first five games of the season with a shoulder injury
suffered in Detroit’s first preseason game, the 36-year-old Datsyuk has
accumulated five goals and five assists in eight games with a minus-1 rating.

Datsyuk is coming off a 2013-14 season that saw him play only 45 games because
of a knee injury and concussion issues.
