New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Wednesday’s postponed game between the
Maple Leafs and Senators at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa has been
rescheduled for Nov. 9.
The Sunday contest will begin at 6 p.m. ET.
Wednesday’s game was postponed following the shooting in Canada’s capital
earlier in the day.
A Canadian soldier standing guard at the National War Memorial was shot and
killed. The gunman then entered Parliament before being shot to death.
The Senators are set to return to the ice on Saturday at home against the New
Jersey Devils. Toronto is also in action again Saturday at home against the
Boston Bruins.
Ottawa and Toronto were each scheduled to have Nov. 9 off after each playing
separate games on Nov. 8.
