New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – San Jose Sharks forward John Scott has
been suspended four games by the National Hockey League for his actions
during a game against the Anaheim Ducks on Monday.
Scott swung his right arm at Ducks forward Tim Jackman, catching him flush
in the face with his glove and the butt end of his stick at the 8:18 mark of
the second period.
As a repeat offender, Scott’s $34,146.36 fine was based on his average annual
salary, which automatically goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
He will not be eligible to return until Jan. 5, when the Sharks play the Jets
